What Can We Do?

This is an alternate universe story, that takes place after the NYC tragedy, and although this show ad this event did not take place at the same time, this is my way of making a statement.

"What can we do guys, it's not like we can just go out there and help, we are needed here, but at the same time, I feel the need to go" Stated Chris De Soto flatly.

He and his partner Jake Gage had been thinking of just hopping in their trucks and going to New York to help sort through the debris, but half of them did not wan to come along a brother in arms no longer alive. It's not like they hadn't seen it before, but it's just too much. Saying a stupid word like "sorry" to fellow brothers and widows seems to stupid.

"I have an idea, and you may all think this is dumb, but remember the ADS quilt?" Chris asked

"Yeah, it's great, and people keep adding to it all the time as people pass on from AIDS" Johnny answered.

"Yeah, well, how about starting one for this? This is so worthwhile and it can be kept in a place of hope where peep can sort of memorialize on it!" Shouted Chris excitedly.

"I think it's a great idea, patches can be sent in from all over the place and put together!" Jake replied excitedly.

"Lemme make a phonecall......" Said Chris, he knew who should be in charge of this, and it was someone who has seen it all with his dad.

"Mom.......I have something I want to talk to you about......."

And with that, the memorial quilt was born.
