He looked at his watch and sighed. "Johnny, calm down Stephanie's show won't be on untill 45 minutes from now and she should be out of the dressing room in a matter of moments" Roy told Johnny.
Yeah i know, Roy but it's not like for her to be this late she should have been out by now!" Johnny replied with a fustrated tone.
"Calm down, she should be out shortly" Roy said in a soothing tone.
Johnny calm down for a moment and then told Roy "I'm sorry, all right, i'm just a little bit nervous but i'm all right ok?!"
"Don't worry, she should be coming out very soon." said Roy.
"Maybe she's in the dressing room having a snack break or something, Gage" Chet said in a vety sarcastic tone.
"Put a clamp on it, Chet!" Johnny shouted in a warning response.
"Just keeping it real, Gage" Chet replied.
Johnny looked at his watch again and sighed to himself "I wonder what's taking Stephanie so long to come out of the dressing room and get ready to perform her show live on stage? well anyway, the show really must go on.."
Meanwhile in the dressing room, Stephanie was eating two pieces of chocolate ding dongs trying not to make a mess or dirty her lovely new sky blue sleeveless evening gown while she is getting ready to perform her songs live on stage at a local new nightclub called "Strawberry Ripple!"
Just then, there were only a couple of knocks on the dressing room's door and it was her best friend and co-backup singer Betsy Lang telling Stephanie that her show would begin in a 15 to 20 minutes so that she can hurry up and start getting ready fast.
"Stephanie, come on, the show's almost starting!!" Betsy exclaimed in a hurry tone.
"Hi Betsy, i'll be right out, tell Johnny i'll meet him in a sec!!" Stephanie shouted back.
With that, Betsy acknowledged and closed the door of the dressing room while Stephanie was already ready and quickly said to herself "Okay, now the show can really begin!!"
Seconds later with a huge smile on her face, she left the dressing room and went on stage to perform her musical number at the nightclub.
A few minutes later while Johnny was attempted to look at his watch for the last time to see if Stephanie should arrive to perform on stage or not, Stephanie quickly arrived at he nightclub's table to see Johnny, Roy, and Chet in person before she goes up on stage to do her musical number.
"Hi, Sweetie sorry i'm late!" Stephanie happily exclaimed.
"Steph, where have you been?" Johnny asked in a slight demanding worried tone and then asked "Are you ready?"
"Yes, honey more readier than ever!" Stephanie replied with a huge smile as she and Johnny gave a quick kiss to each other.
"You look, terrific Stephanie" Chet told Stephanie.
"Thanks, Chet, i feel so beautiful too!!" Stephanie giggled a bit.
"Steph, you are a very good knockout in that beautiful new dress" Roy told her.
"Oh, Roy, thank you!!" Stephanie said with a very breathtaking smile and gave him a kiss on the forehead.
Just then, the announcer's voice on the intercom announced as they dimmed the lights a bit and the tympani drumroll was playing a dramatic musical opening number getting ready for the show to begin.
"Ladies and Gentleman, please welcome, Miss Stephanie Mercer!!"
"Hurry Stephanie, the show is on!" Johnny hurriedly exclaimed.
"Okay, Sweetie, i'm on it, wish me luck!" Stephanie exclaimed happily as she gave Johnny another kiss on the cheek.
And as she was about to step out on stage to perform her musical number, Johnny was looking at Stephanie and the lovely dress she was wearing and that he gave her a crooked grin and she gave him a huge smile and blew him a kiss and seconds later, she stepped out on stage getting ready to sing her songs live on stage..
And while Stephanie was wearing her gorgeous sky blue sleeveless evening gown, her back up singers Betsy Lang, Melissa Ramos, and Sheridan Kirkpatrick were all wearing short sleeved black evening gowns as well!
And the songs that Stephanie would perform on stage are "My Pledge Of Love" and "I Love You" (Yes I Do)
And as the music began Stephanie, the horn players, her band, and her backup singers were singing and dancing the entire night having a great time.
"Well Johnny, i guess the show did go on after all" Roy told him.
"That's right, Roy" Said Johnny.
"Here Here!" Chet exclaimed happily.
