C is for Cola Challenge

The guys don't belong to me they just like to come over and play.
It was a hot a Saturday afternoon and the station had been unusually
quite.
"Roy lets run to the store I need some stuff for dinner"
"OK Johnny. I'll tell the Cap we are heading out"
As Johnny gets into the truck the tones sound
"Squad 51 child down 5789 E Alton...5*7*8*9 E Alton cross street Waterton
time out 1515"
As Roy gets in he tells Johnny the guys will do the shopping for dinner. As
they leave Johnny yells out to Chet
"Make sure to buy some coca~cola"
"You got it"

An hour later Roy and Johnny pull back into the station.
"Man am I hot, I am not looking forward to cooking dinner"
"Johnny don't worry about it" Cap says walking out of his office "We
decided it was so hot that we would BBQ hot dogs for dinner"
"Hey thats great Cap thanks"
"No problem, Mike is cooking them so why don't you get out the chips and
stuff and set the table"
As they enter the kitchen
"Johnny I will set the table if you get out the rest of the stuff"
Says Roy
"You're on" Johnny responds as he is getting things out of the fridge
he starts looking for the coke he asked Chet to get.
"Hey Chet, where's the Coke?"
"It's in there, what are you blind?"
"No its not, I see Pepsi and Root beer and 7up but no coke"
"Coke, Pepsi they are the same thing" Chet says
"No they aren't, they taste totally different"
"Gage you are crazy cola is cola no matter who makes it"
"Chet, Johnny knock it off and lets eat" Cap says
"Sure Cap"
Later that night after a run Johnny talks Roy into stopping at the store.
"Johnny why?"
"Roy I just want to pick up some Coke and snacks for the station"
Roy just shakes his head.

As everyone sat watching Adam 12 Johnny asks if any one wants the snacks he
picked up earlier. Everyone say they do, so Johnny sets out the chips and pop.
"Johnny, you just had to get some coke didn't you? I keep telling you they
are the same thing"
"Chet if you believe that I have a proposition for you"
"Whats that"
"The store was have a blind taste test when I was in there and I think
we should do the same, If I can tell the difference you need to clean the latrine
for the next 5 shifts and if I can't I will clean the latrine for the next 5
shifts. Cap is that OK with you?" Johnny asks.
"OK by me"
"Well Chet"?
"OK you are on"
"Cap will
you supervise this? Make sure get both kind of pop?"
"Sure why not"
Marco ties a dish towel around Johnny's eyes while Cap and Mike pour out a glass
of each kind of cola.
Mike hands the 1st one to Johnny who takes a drink and swished it around his
mouth like he was at a wine tasting. After swallowing Johnny eats a cracker
then tastes the 2nd one after about a minute he smiles and removes the blindfold.
He says the 1st was Pepsi and the second the Coke. Chet looks at Cap and Mike
who pull the cans from behind their backs.
"Aw man I cant believe it" Chet says leaving the kitchen
Johnny just smiles, takes his pop and sits down to watch the rest of Adam
